I purchased a 1967 390 gt 4 speed car a year ago nice car. Has ac ps pb tilt swing away steering and the convenience light group dark maroon with maroon deluxe interior. The door tag matches the Vin and color and trim Trans and axle code. Sent off for a Marti elite report it states the car is gold with base gold interior 390 4 speed . My door tag matches the Vin on the top of the left fender I'm the 3rd owner second owner bought it in 1976 was the way it is now. Trying to figure out whos right my door tag or his.

Marti is most likely right. It's likely that the previous owner bought a new door tag and had it stamped the way he wanted it.

Call Kevin Marti and ask him his thoughts. I'd also dig into the trunk looking for gold paint.
