not mustang related but 65 t-bird where can i buy a torque convertor

where can i get a torque convertor for a 65 t-bird with a 390 motor,i have been told the trans is not a c6 but an earlier cruise-o-matic does that sound right.thanks javed
 
Local tranny shops should be able to set you up...may have to look at the tranny and compare to others to be sure what you have..maybe a C5....
