Performer Carb - RPM Air Gap Fitment - 66 Mustang

Does anybody know if a Performer RPM Air Gap with Edelbrock Carb installed on a 302 will fit under the hood of a 66 with the later 66/up engine mounts?? If anybody is running that combo, what air cleaner did you use?

I have a 302, the air gap intake, but running a holley 700 DP carb and a 1" spacer and 2" air filter and it barely fit under a stock hood. The wingnut touched the hood and you could see where it touched it. So if no spacer, I would guess it would fit fine.
