Possible Start Up this weekend

Gona be attempting a start up this weekend. Got the engine and trans in the car. Just gotta mount the headers, water pump and alternator. Then the task of hooking up all the electronics and hope it all works. Im not looking to drive it, just start it and let it run a few minutes.

Im running the original point ignition system. Any tips for or things to look out for that could help me would be appreciated.

Fluids, smoke, temp. Watch out for those. A few sets of eyes and something to calm the nerves. If it's the initial startup go through the proper break in of not letting it idle. Keep the engine turning at about 2000 rpm. Have a blast. I love initial startups. It's kinda like the first time having sex. Excited, nervous, jitters, etc. Just don't blow it this time.
