Power Windows.... the "easy" way!

The best of manual crank window regulators and electrical motors! I love it!

When I first got into cars, *cough*someteen*cough* years ago, I remember seeing in everyone's favorite High-Quality Catalog, J.C. Whitney a Power Window conversion that was essentially this exact thing.

It was a big (prohibitively so) box that mounted over the splines from the crank. It came with a set of adapters that would snap in to fit all the different window-crank spline types.

It had an on-off-on momentary switch on top which you'd use to roll the windows up and down.

When I started ordering catalogs again about 4 years ago, when I got my JCW catalog, I checked to see if they still made those. Surprisingly, no.

I imagine it would work about as well as using a hand mixer would work.

I'd like to see someone try that on a classic Stang, even with new regulators my windows are not that easy to roll up!
