my sister's son, seems to be wired much like I am. I have been giving him some plastic models over the years. This past Christmas, I gave him a Tiger tank model n he's already completed it. He is 13.

No. Norwegian mostly - my point is he has similar mechanical aptitude as I do, maybe even better (which should be easy)

that's cool. I still build models. It relaxes me. I don't have lots of time to do it so it takes me a while to complete one but I enjoy it. My sons have been doing it a little too. My dad gave me some of the cars he built as a kid. It's cool. I think you learn a lot from building them.
