Love seeing 67/68 fastbacks that haven't been destroyed...I mean made into Eleanors. No offense but please don't those cars are great as Ford made them.

My favorite year for the Mustang has always been the 1967. Now when Shelby American put their touch on it; that was perfection. To make any changes to that only downgrades in my opinion.

I personally like the E-car look. I think it took the SCCA Trans Am styling of the 65 GT350R front, side exit exhaust, flared wheel wells, fuel filler, etc. of a race car and blended it into the great looking lines of the 67 Shelby. I know a lot of people get their panties in knot when they see an Eleanor and say they are overdone or to many but out of over 1000 Mustangs at this one show, only one was an Eleanor. And there are plenty of orange 69 Chargers with a flag on the roof, Red 76 Torinos with a white stripes, Bandit T/A's and yes, Bullitt replicas and nobody gets all wound up when they see those.

just for that comment I will share this one too

LOL. There is nothing specific about the styling (OK I do hate those little blue lights where no light belongs) its just that there are so many around its like when all the guys show up at cruise night in there fresh off the lot cars and park next to each other creating a line up you can see at any dealership in the country. Why? Be unique. Create your own look.
My disdain might also have something to do with watching a thread of an idiot show the world how he could create a POS and ruin a car with cans of spray insulation.

I remember that guy! And I agree about those lights. But I still don't see anyone complain about Bullitt clones...

I don't mind the Eleanor cars.

My biggest beef is that so many people actually think that they came that way. It's not a real Shelby.

I have an Eleanor Clone/clown myself! Except it's a coupe, red, doesn't have the funky lights, blah, blah, blah...
I do get asked if it is a real one, and I've always thought if you can squeeze them, they are real enough. (wait a minute, what were we talking about again?).

Went to another big car show yesterday. This one was attached to a town's end of summer festival. Final turn out was over 100 registered cars. Quite a cool mix of rides.
I still need to get better at remembering to take pics. So busy checking out cars and talking to owners I forget! Here's some I did take of my favorites.
