She left me on the road side.

Today my 66 let me down. I put a set of gauges down by my parking brake, amp, oil pressure and temp. On the way to hot rods on Beale my brake handle arced on my amp meter. The wire got so hot it was glowing red and by the time the smoke cleared and engine died I had melted the engine feed harness and melted into one of my a/c hoses. The worst part is I was running in line with a chevelle and a vette. And you know they didn't say anything about the ford braking down.

Hate to say it but. Every new electrical circuit begins with a fuse. You are lucky you got no fire.

On the other hand . Glad you are ok and that the car is repaireble. :nwort

Most of my Vintage Mustang mishaps are like yours; an issue not with Ford, but with my own sloppy work.
