shock tower reinforcement

I bought shock tower reinforcements from Steve. This are just like the ones from Opentracker http://www.opentrackerracingproducts.com/towerkit/ but I didn't get the L-shaped pieces. Any pics of these installed. Steve said they are trim to fit, so I need to know how they fit :whis Also, how did you guys weld them in? Stitch around the perimeter or plug weld them?

Sorry, haven't done those yet and I looked back at Steve's original post but it was just the brackets on the ground. PM me your email and I'll send you a PDF from the Boss302's that may help.

Are we talking page 27 of Donald Farr's Boss 302 book? :thum Also if you google "Form mustang shock tower reinforcement" and then hit the Images button, you will see a few more examples.

I've seen them. Just looking for more direct experience I guess.

For almost all welding, plug welds are recommended. But in this case, you want the reinforcement to be even across all of the reinforcement areas, so stitch welding is the way to go. Besides, do you really want to drill that thick metal with 3/8" holes all over the place and plug weld them? I didn't think so...

True, but grinding plug welds is alot easier than grinding booger welds... Guess, I'll get my buddy with his 220 Mig to do the welding. He's will be alot prettier than mine.

like this:

I didn't put those center brackets on my car, but here is a pic of how they fit into the system. John wanted these in his kits, so made the patterns off of my car while it was apart.
