Hi

My trim of the rear fold down seats need to be rechromed.
But I saw that they sell new ones.
How is the quality of those "new" parts and the chrome of it ?

How about comparing the cost of replating your original pcs vs the freight to ship repro junk?

I would rather replating them .
I have sent an e-mail asking a quote to do so.
Will let you know how much it costs replating them here in Belgium. :hide

I haven't personally seen or used the re-pops but from what I have read on various forums they aren't too bad but expect some holes to not line up etc. Typical issues.

I used a set of repops from Mustangs Plus on the fastback. I think they fit and look just fine and am not ashamed to have people look at them. The cost to replate the originals would have been at least 3 times the cost of the repops.

Now if I was doing a concourse restoration......

Update on this.
I got a quote of rechroming the trim of the folddown seat. 600 € !!!
I found a rechromeshop in Poland and the quote they gave was : 200 €
I am happy with this quote so the trim parts goes to Poland next month.:D:D:D

Poland?!? are you sure about that? Do they not have Polack Jokes in Belgium?
Yes , we have them quite alot. Hard working men.
I know one through a friend of mine and the guy is very thrustworthy.
He will take the trim parts to his hometown in Poland during the holidays .
They gonna rechrome the parts old school style. With cupper prior chrome.

When I have them back , a picture will be posted.
