Visited Team B (VMF) today for the first time in...a long time

Dang I can't even imagine going through that with any of my kids. BobV tell Nick we are thinking and praying about his family through this ordeal.

wow ....what info.
The best to Nick and his family or rather the best to his son.

Yes the old guy count is great here.....I make it at least 13

Mmmmm does that mean I should try signing up again on VMF? Bwaaaaaaa........

Nah Stashu would just kick me off.

Dodgestang has been very busy with a family health issue lately. His son had brain surgery and is now recovering rapidly.
I will be praying for your son...Sorry to hear you are going thru the brain surgery thing....

Hey, I just singed up over here, so now the old guy count is up to 13

Bacchus, what EFI are you planning on with the '67?

So I installed EFI a couple of years ago on my 289. I started with the stock 5.0 upper/lower with the Detail Zone (Ron Francis) harness, an A9P ECU and the quarter horse chip. I later replaced the motor with a FRPP crate 306 and I upgraded to a Ford Explorer 5.0 upper and lower intake, bigger injectors, bigger throttle body, MAF, etc. I could not get the ECU tuned right with the quarter horse, so I went to a shop and they installed the SCT Chip. that worked good for a little more than a year, then the tune started giving me problems. I finally got tired of screwing with that and yanked the harness, ECU and chip and installed the Holly HP ECU and MPFI. That worked like a champ for about 9 months. I really liked it over the ford ECU. Very intuitive, self learning, easy to program. Well, a couple of months ago, I was getting on it and I messed up a couple of pistons. Either it ran lean at WOT or I had some detonation that I did not catch. I did a compression test and 1,2,3 & 4 were pretty low. I had metal filings in the oil so I pulled the engine and I am having it stroked out to a 347.

So, to actually answer your question, I do not like the 80's 5.0L comb over look, never did. I want the carb and air cleaner look, so I am going with an EFI throttle body set up. Originally I was going to use the Victor Jr with MPFI and a Holley throttle body, 8 injectors, my Holley HP ECU and existing wiring harness. I have since changed my mind because I did not want to mess with fuel rails, so I am going to install a Holley terminator EFI throttle body on top of a Victor Jr 4BBL intake. I am still going to use my existing HP ECU and wiring harness.

Clear as mud huh? Now if only I could stick with one damn plan instead of changing it up.

What's considered an "old guy"....just curious if I am there yet.

There is another thread where they are talking about having to mainline Viagra. I might need to take my name off the ol' man list, 'cause i ain't that old!

My counting maybe off, but me pecker still works.

If you are lucky, you will be shootin blanks.

I'm old, I remember when it was court.ave in 1998. I joined that on May 8, 1998. I'm staying until I hit 20,000 posts and I'm not too far away.
