What width wheel?

Would a 7" or 8" wide wheel (both 4.25" BS) be best for 225/16-15 Hoosier Street TD's on a '65?

You don't want an 8 inch wheel with 4.25 bs
The 7 inch with that tire and that BS is fine

I've run 6.00x15 Bluestreaks and 225/45-15 Hoosier R6 on my 15x7 TTD's w/3 3/4" BS with no problems.

I would recommend trying a std 15" rim with a known offset to your frt and back assemblies then actually measure your desired backspace. It is not too hard and you cannot get it wrong as with measurements from various combinations? With that, for a stock setup I would suggest that 4.25" front and 4.5" rear would put you right in the ball park.

My mad Google skilzs found that a Hoosier Street TD 225/60-15 is very close to the Bluestreak 6.00-15 tire
