What's a windshield worth? Need help

Short story, I'm in talks with a guy who is parting out his car and we've been talking about his windshield. He asked me to name a price....I don't want to insult him but I don't want to set a price too high. With that, what would be a fair value? Thanks.

A used windshield in good condition? $100 would be very fair.

Unless you are wanting a date code perfect restoration, get new glass. 5 decade old windshields have scratches or worse that you will not polish out. New ones can be had for less than $100
