A wooden or aluminum baseball bat? Your extensive experience and insight is needed.
 
I think Dave will require further supporting information. For instance: Wood type; is it composite? If not, was it cut down by under skilled Asian laborers that were previously fired by Mark?

What grade of Aluminum? What is the copper content of said aluminum? Is it made from recycled Pabst Blue Ribbon cans - or Guinness Draught cans?
 
Definitely aluminum! The "sweet spot" on an aluminum bat runs most of it's length.

Also, if you drill a vent hole in each end of the bat.... it can be thrown of the next bridge you drive over and it will sink.

This one was a no-brainer.

Yeah, it's been a few years now since I learned that wood floats and metal doesn't. I think I read it in a book or something.
