Boom's Boosted Bullitt

I know waiting for parts sometimes takes awhile, that's why I usually wait to begin until I have everything in hand. Mainly frustrating because they said that it'd be delivered on Saturday and when I called after it wasn't they just shrugged it off and said they'd have to wait til the warehouse opened on Monday.m to know anything. Idk, just seems like less then amazing customer service.

I got the rear brakes bled. I managed to flip a bracket on the e brakes around and that directs the cable off the tires.



I went ahead and mounted the tires back on to verify fitment. Only items left on the rear is to hook up the new abs sensors and confirm rideheight on the coilovers.

I got the front end up and started getting things ready to pull out the front suspension.



I hope to get a chance to remove the struts and camber caster plates tomorrow.

Hoping to have the k member dropped soon too.

Got the front pretty well torn down today.

The spring compressor I rented didn't work at all. Some new style with a spoon. The spring is pretty short and not alot of room around to access it. I figured the rear had lowering springs and once the axle was lowered gently, the springs just kind of floated there and I pulled them out.

Didn't want to be a complete moron and have this thing going flying out, I did loop a chain around the bottom of the spring to the control arm.



I slowly left the jack down to release the tension and once the arm was at full droop I just needed to wiggle the springs out.

These appear to be stock springs, but I'm pretty sure they was torched to break the bottom coil to lower the car. Kinda of odd that both coils are broke at the same spot and have the powdercoating all messed when the rest of the spring is fine (just really dirty)




I got the abs sensors and calipers tucked up so I can get ready to drop the k member tomorrow hopefully.
