160 Tooth ring gear on 65 289 Flywheel?

I have a flywheel from a 65 289 Mustang that has 160 teeth. I ran the casting number on MustangTek and it shows as a 157. Is this an oddball part?

Not really an odd ball, just old. I'm guessing it's got a C3 engineering number. I understand the tooth count was revised to 157 at some point way back when. Someone with exact knowledge of when and why will chime in.

160 tooth flywheels were unique to 260 cid engines (1964.5), but also used for all 1966 K codes and 1967 A or C codes. All have different engineering and casting numbers.
