1993 Cobra

Sounds like a cheap way into a '93 Cobra. While there are most likely multiple problems to fix (A/C, vibration, etc.), it definitely deserves a look. Clean, low mileage, original examples can bring double what he is asking. However remember that cheaper cars usually aren't cheaper at the end of the day. Ask me how I know that...

Looks like a good deal. I like the "$7000 rock bottom price but show up on Saturday with $6500" part. Ummm, okay.

Seems like a fair price, IMHO. The foxbody market is warming up, and I tend to believe will improve even more whenever the economy recovers - lots of guys in their 30s/40s just waiting to relive their teen years. Several companies reproducing parts, and NPD is about to join the fray.

The A/C stuff will suck to replace - hopefully find a GT being parted. Foxbody heater cores are a horrible job - plan a very full day.

The thing that will work against you the most is the mileage. LOTS of people stored 93 Cobras away, so there are plenty of low mileage examples that prop up the prices. Once they turn 100k, prices dropped dramatically, just because of all the low mileage ones out there.

Interesting, I didn't think about the title.

I think if I was to get this car, I would try to get it back to stock and go the 'original' route with it.

I could probably sell the AFR 185's for about 1,000 alone. Give the car a good cleaning and it would probably freshen it up some.

blue65- I have watched this car come down from 8 when it was listed a few months back haha! I wonder how low he will go.

$6,500 does not seem like much of a deal to me. You will have a couple of thousand into the A/C, more thousands into the paint, likely needs a lot of other mechanical work from the description.

imho, it would be cheaper to pay $15,000 for a much cleaner Cobra than this one.

Inless, you just want a Cobra beater.

Deciding factor is pretty much gonna be the mechanics of it. I'd be a little concerned that the thing wasn't shadetree mechaniced but if it's mechanically solid the a/c, heater core and paint shouldn't run you off. It's worth a look. Take $5000, in cash, with you. Money talks.

Pete, that guy doesn't want to sell that car too bad does he? Geez
