1st wolf hunt.

first; i am not big into hunting wolves/bear/or coyotes but i decided to give it a shot,
so
last night i called at 5:30 (already getting dark) the first call that i rang out was answered in less than 10 seconds about 150 yards away (scared the crap outta me) and it sounded like a whole pack following
wolves howl like this to bring the pack together to fight for their territory or take down prey but they communicate with a hair raising type of -woof grunt type sound after hearing 5-6 immediatley after the initial call i looked down the sight of my M1 and couldn't see the 3 pronged sight on the end--Time to GTFO of the woods quick so

i ran like a girl

tonight im going earlier, with 4 clips -32 rounds of 30.06 and a couple friends with 00 buckshot

I will upload pics,wolf or not tonight but i'm 67% sure i'll bag one.
 
your supposed to hunt from a stand, or in open field i guess but,

i was sitting on a stump, gun pointed upwind. tonight i'm setting up a blind i'll feel a little safer.

there is an elk/stag ranch about 100 yards away from the swamp i was sitting in, i figure that is where they were.

hope i can get one on camera for you all ,dead or alive.
