Yep...I just got lodging, a rental car and grandstand tickets for the final.

My wife and I decided on a vacation to Ireland for next year and then had the "while I'm at its"...might as well see if we can go to the TT. After many a e-mail and postings on TT websites, I finally confirmed lodging and a car, which is very difficult at this late in the decision process. I was told it would be better if I planned for 2014 TT. But with a new friend in Connecticut's help we have a room to stay in (local's house) and a Ford Fiesta to drive. I was talked into staying a full week since lodging basically dictates this and we will certainly enjoy the IOM in its entirety...pubs and all.

Of course after that week we'll be off for two weeks around Ireland (Johnny M are you reading this???) with a visit to another Mustang friend (Declan) who has a '68 Highland Green Fastback. I have yet to plan any of that but it shouldn't be a hassle that the IOM visit has been...I hope.

I am stoked...Of course I'm not thinking about the money at all. Screw it. We're going.

I don't know how those guys walk with those watermelons hanging between their legs.

I did the Ireland thing(southern half) a few years ago---drove 10 days--pretty neat, nice people, pretty sites, we stayed mainly in bed and breakfasts. We bought a couple of books and read a lot before we went.

Sounds like a great trip. I've never heard of the isle of man thing. Looks pretty cool.

We went to Ireland in 2004. Took my dad as it was his life long dream to see it before he passed away. By far the best trip we have ever taken. It was amazing. Spent about seven days there. I can't wait to go back.
