3G wiring in a '65 with warning lights

I have the PA Performance regulator in place of the voltage regulator and I have their 3G pigtail for the alternator. My question is I have 4 wires off the original headlight harness that would go to the 1G; what do I do with them:

Here is the pigtail:

The yellow and white plug back into the alt and the green is supposed to go to "the original harness' ignition wire." Is that wire one of the four on the headlight harness above? I guess I just tape off the rest?

Four wire alternator/VR systems assume you have an alternator lamp in the dash; three wire alternator/VR systems assume you have an ammeter in the dash. Beyond that, I can't really help you.

Does the yellow and black wire which are connected go to the starter solenoid for power? The ones touching my thumb.

That would be my guess. If it is from the main headlight or gauge harness, then yes, it attaches to the battery side of the starter solenoid. You can check for continuity between that ring connector and the bottom two center fuse tabs to verify that it is the main power for the car.

When I did mine the guys at PA Performance told me to wire the green/black wire to the wire on the regulator that is hot with the key on.

Where does the yellow and black with the pigtail come from?

One of those wires in the three pin connector feeds power into the car if I remember correctly.

The green/red runs to the F term on the regulator on mine. I have the same reg you do. Mine was a gauge car though. May be I term on yours.

The three pin connector should just be taped to the harness and forgotten.

Yellow and black to battery side of solenoid.
