'65 Ceramic GT Badges

I like the '65 badges better than the '66 plastic ones, so I swapped them, but the negative is the ceramic is cracking. How would I remedy this?
 
Not the best image for showing the cracks, but you can see it's not smooth. And, it may look dirty, but it's clean. Other than replacing them, has anyone sanded them down or added some type of sealant/oil for protection?
