I have a locking glove box but I don't have the key (differnt trunk lock than original). Can the tumbler be changed to match the key I have for the trunk?

Only convertibles got a glove box lock , am i right about it?
But it is handy to have one either in a coupe , fastback or convertible.

Yes, it can. A friend did that for me on Trouble.
any tips, ideas how? I'll see if I can get it apart.

I think it was a deluxe interior option...?

okay, got it apart. There are three spring loaded pins/plungers at different lengths. I was able to move them around to get close to my key then lightly file two of them (fortunately they were too long) to get my key to work. The pins and plungers are brass it looks like and soft. They are tapered on the key side to allow the key to move past them. It wasn't as hard as I thought it might be once I figured out how it comes apart.
