I have a set of 67 v8 motor mounts. I was thinking they were a 1 off year, or can I use them on a 68?

They are different than the other years and will work, but finding the new rubber mounts is a pita. The frame bracket is also used in my convertible. Nobody seems to be able to put the right mount in the right numbered box. (Anchor 2286) I've ordered several from different suppliers and haven't got the right one yet. NOS stuff is out there but too expensive for my cheap build.

If they are truly 1967 frame mounts, you might be better off putting them up on e-bay, and buying 1968's. The 1967 mounts are not reproduced, and might fetch a pretty penny. I know you could polish them up and make them look better than that, though.

Midlife is mostly right. Anchor consolidated the '67 mounts into the 66 and 68-70 mount number, assuming they were identical. They're not, and most people behind the counter won't know because Anchor has them listed as the same for 66-70. So it's impossible to get '67 mounts from a standard parts store, making good original/NOS pieces slightly more valuable..

That said, Glazier's Mustang Barn found somebody to make some '67 mounts and is selling them, so they're not completely impossible to find.

oh, I remember this problem! Fast68back saved me on this phenomenon! I'm still quite confused on what this one difference does to ones brain! I had '67 brackets or whatever they're called, but needed '68 so I could get mounts to work(right Rick C?). This thing was driving me nuts! '67 was just its own crazy year with a bunch of suprises! :)

Thanks for the info on Glazier's having them. The 67 mount is correct for 68-70 convertibles also. Modifying a 2257 to fit is a poor fix.

I have a set of '68 mounts in my garage if anyone needs them. I had two sets, I sent one set of mounts and the '68 frame brackets to Dne'. John/Dave, i'm just a drive away....
