67 vs 68 GT automatics?

So I tried talking to a guy at the local alignment shop who pulled in with a '68 FB GT automatic. It was a beautiful red and was of concours quality. I mentioned that I thought the automatics had a GTA emblem on the front fender. He said that was on '67s only.

News to me.

Was it only on the 67s?

Badges where different too.

If you want to get real technical. 67 automatic was a rectangular badge GTA and the background of the A was red. 67 manual transmission was 2 letters G and a T. The 68 was a rectangular badge with GT for all transmissions.
