68 saddle console?

I'm looking at getting either just the plug and chug cup holder for my factory console or going for the saddle console so I get the cup holder and the arm rest. However, NPD lists the saddle console for just 65-67. Has anybody tried the saddle console in a 68?

The way NPD is with customer service, I'm tempted to just try it and see if it works and if not I'll return it.

The '68 console has a padded top, doesn't it? That wouldn't allow the '67 saddle console to fit.

That's what I thought, but wasn't sure how close the fit was designed to be.
