9" LSD Identification Questions

Ok, so I've come across a 9" rear end. The seller said that it's out of a late 70's Granada. According to some charts I've read, this is .75" longer than the 65 Mustang rear end. First question, how big an issue is this width difference?

I'm told the rear is rebuilt with 3.73 ratio and new bearings and seals. And the brackets are set up to bolt into a 65 Mustang. Now, the ad states "pozi" so I figure this could mean anything from traction lock to a full spool. How can I tell the difference and make sure I don't end up buying a spool or something I don't want?

The rear end is out of the car and on jackstands. It's never been installed since the rebuild. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

It will be tough to tell what guts are in it if it is assembled in the housing. To be certain the third member will have to be pulled.

A spool will be obvious, it will look like a spool with the ring gear bolted to it.

A trac lok will have recessed areas in the carrier where the ring gear bolts go.

An open will have flat surface and larger bolts where the ring gear bolts on.
