9" Rear end Cover

I have a few 9" pumpkins and i got one of these on one of them.

I rarely see these insatlled on cars? should I put it on mine?

Pretty sure that's where the snubber is installed on mine, maybe the snubber is mounted to the floor board for that one since there isn't a hole.

Yes that's a pinion snubber. I think some Mustang's, Torino's, etc. had the rubber on the body... my 67 does.
It works a bit like traction bars or "slapper" bars. When the diff twists the springs up, that will contact the mating part and resist further twisting (or contribute to wheel hop). If you don't have the part on the body you don't need that.
