Yes there was a TSB for that. I think they replaced the drive shaft on those?"Flysure1" said:I had a 99 4 litre--I had a feel like a ujoint was bad when it was pretty new--found out ford had a driveshaft problem that year--seems like they put a aluminum shaft in it or switched the front yoke to fix it--I am sorry I don't remember which it was--the feel was bad at take-off from stop--mine got poor mileage also,16-17 tops--no other major problems
"RyanG85" said:Great little tucks. The 4 liter OHV engine is awesome. Good torque and super dependable. The 3 liters are turds. The lower door latches on the rear doors are known to stick (at least in the crappier climates). The door ajar switch for the rear doors is in that lower latch and almost always stick causing the light to stay on. Its easiest to just unplug the harness from the switch which can be done in minutes by removing the rubber plug at the bottom of the rear door in the door sill. Use a screwdriver and pop the connector off.
