Not sure if this is the appropriate venue, but...

I have the distinct pleasure to announce that my oldest, Craig, as of June 2010, will be a 15R (AH64 Apache Armament Tech) in the US Army. Good luck and Godspeed to him as a defender of our freedoms.

I am very proud of him.

I cannot think of a better place to post this. Many thanks for serving to defend this country. fd

Tell you son: You have done something that you will grateful you did the rest of your life. It seems every man (and many women), when he is past the age of 40, wishes they would have served their country.

My oldest did a tour in Iraq, did fine, no issues. He was a medic with the 82nd Airborne. He left a boy, returned a thoughtful man. He also kept his word to me. He is the first one in 4 generations to NOT come back with a Purple Heart.

Chances are, in 4 months, I will have another one in the military, as my daughter is graduating from Baylor Nursing school and appears to be headed into the Navy.
