A Little Car Show Fun

Went to a car show and BBQ cook off at Darlington Raceway Friday night and Saturday during the day. Nice show, about 300 cars or so. But what was cool was on Friday night they put us out on the track for three laps. What a blast. Was able to get up to about 83 on the third lap at the start finish line. Really enjoyed it.

I had the same fun at Las Vegas Motorspeedway.....Almost hit the ton....but the girl in front of me wouldn't go faster.

That's right John, no stripe. Although Brenda was a little concerned that I got a little too close to the wall on that last lap!

Very cool. Reminds me of the first year they really did Christmas lights at Charlotte Speedway. You wound through the road course and came out at the entrance of turn one. Through turns 1 and 2 and halfway down the backstretch you could leave or go back through. I made 7 trips through those lights lol. Driving a minivan over 100 mph and passing cars on the bank was an absolute blast. Needless to say they have stopped that lol. I would bet money there was a wreck or a manager had a WTH moment.
