Everyone, or just about everyone here has a name for their car~ I was doing stuff in my kitchen and Rhea(my 3 y/0 grandaughter) was on the counter, and I called her Wingnut! Like, "Move Wingnut". Just out of the blue I called here that! I laughed! So I thought about my mustang~ Wingnut! Opinions welcome :bowdown'

I was playing with my lift today, I need a creeper seat~ my knees are killing me! lol My transmission bolts to the frame were finger tight! It's fun working on the car at this height! (well, that's as high as it goes anyway).

I like wing nut.

My car doesn't have a name, unless you call "rusty piece if s#@t" a name.

sent from my HTC Droid using tapatalk.

I've never given my Mustang a name....I've called it a few names through the years that I won't repeat here but it doesn't have an "official" name, LOL!

btw, the lift looks pretty cool / useful.

Sure would've come in handy when I changed out my transmission. With jack stands as high as I dared take them I could barely get the car high enough to slide the old tranny out and the new one under. You couldn't go out the side but had to wiggle it out the front. We got it done but it was pretty tight under there.

Thanks Rusty! I Love this thing! but I hope never have to pull a transmission! But If I had to, I'm sure I could get it out~ just take some creativity in making a tranny jack for this low lift.

I was lucky and recruited an old high school buddy of mine that lives in the area to help me lift the old tranny out and the new one in. With two sets of hands and keeping the car lower to the ground we got the old one out and the new one in just using a piece of board and a floor jack.

It was the getting the tranny out from under the car and the new one under there that it would have been nice to be able to lift the car a little higher.

Personally I don't name my cars, but since I am jealous of your lift I am tempted to suggest the names of a few members with the reputation of getting high... :hide

I've got a question, since this is my thread~ :thu
I'm wanting to put side decals, but not just any side stripes. What makes a Cobra a cobra? Can I put Cobra on my mustang? I'd like it to be kind of a strobe design, but I haven't seen whatI"m thinking on ebay yet. Plus the smaller emblem that would go behind the front wheels, the Cobra snake may look kind of neat, then the trunk lid~ omg ~ decisions! lol

:thu I know ~ my lift is awesome yummy! lol :yah

Before Frankenstang had his heart transplant, the C4 was playing up so we got another and swapped it over over.
We didn't have a hoist so we took 2 long planks out to the park behind the house and dug a dirty big hole under the trans, dropped the old one into it, rolled the car back, swapped trans over, rolled him back and lifted the new one in. Took 3 hours all up.
The Ball and Chain wasn't too impressed about the hole, but once it was filled back in it was all good

It's your car, make it what you want! My first car was a 67 coupe (bought used for $300 in the 70s) and I promptly went down to the local Ford dealership parts counter and bought all sorts of Shelby Cobra parts to put on it - pop-off gas cap, valve covers, dash emblems, etc. If only I had bought more of those items and held on to them...

There are certainly far more "cobras" on the road today than were ever manufactured by Carroll Shelby...

Good luck,

Thanks Rory! So it shall be said; so it shall be written~ my Stang is called "Wingnut" and will be dressed as a Cobra(someday soon) :yah :wor
