Thought I'd post this for discussion. What in the heck is wrong with AGM batteries?
I've gone through about 5 of them in the past 8 years or so with my Mustang.
They don't seem to like sitting. This last one is an Exide that I picked up from O'Reilly auto parts 13 months ago and it won't hold a charge. I put it on the trickle charger a week ago and the current would not drop below 2.5 amps.
Are AGM batteries so sensitive that my track time is causing internal cells to fail?
I was able to exchange this one, but not until after 3 trips to the store to 'discuss' this with the personnel. Their charge says the battery is fine and I told them their charger needs a new checkup.
