Alternator ???

Not in the amount of power put out but it does change the engine rpm at which it comes on line with full power. You can cause damage internally if you try to spin it to fast.
 
I just looked at the alternator and it wasn't the pully, its actually the fan. I bought the alternator below from Jegs and its a cover on the fan that I was thinking about. The pulley looks to be the same size as the one that came with the March pulleys i ordered.
