This will be my first time going. I'll be taking my 68 fastback. We're going up early (monday) and staying for the week to take in all the sights and events. I reserved a space at the Royal Oak Ford body shop parking lot between 12 and 13 mile road to park the car when I'm not cruising. I really don't know what to expect other than it's going to be totally overwhelming. Hope to maybe meet some folks I've talked to on the forums over the years. Post up if you're gonna be there.

Hi Doug, I'll be there and about a million others just no one from the Fix, I guess. Yes, you will be overwhelmed at the size of this event, most of the cars will be parked along the route and most of the traffic is because of the sightseers. You should drive the entire route at least once but it will be slow and take you awhile to do it, the earlier the better. You'll be right in the heart of all the happenings as the epicenter of the the cruise is at WW and 13 mile. You can walk a mile each way from where you're at and see a whole lot.
Not sure what plans you have but one place you should visit, if you haven't been there is, The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village. A must see, wear your walking shoes. Another place might be the Ford's Piquette Avenue Plant where it all started. I haven't been there myself but my Daughter's friend had here wedding reception there and the pictures looked pretty cool.
The day of the cruise I'll be here, http://www.mustangalley.net/, a good part of the day which is on 9 mile road east of WW, this is also where Ford has their display set up, east and west of WW. I'll be cruising during the week so we can meet up somewhere.
I'll try to PM you the schedule of events from the all the different cities along the route so you can know what's going on during the week.

We'll be there saturday with my '69Mach and my sons '65 fastback. Got a room at the Hilton in Troy.
