hi is there anyone running a heidts front end in a 69/70 mustang need instructions/pics on how to mount the steering column to the rack i emailed heidts they have not replied back. thanks in advance

What do you need to know?

I put a Heidts in a 69 a few years ago. We used an ididit column and if I remember right, we had a u joint at the end of the column and then one more on the rack. Then we just had a piece of DD shaft in between.

I have a picture of the engine compartment on my shop's facebook page. You can see it here:

In that picture if you look just to the right of the yellow oil dipstick handle, you can see the stainless u joint that is attached to the end of the steering column. The stainless DD shaft goes down to the rack from there.

thnaks doug got it all sorted i didnt have the correct column to rack fitting kit,how does the heidts front end compare to the old mustang suspension on the road?

I've driven a few classic Mustangs with Heidts front ends. They drive very nice to me. I have just done regular street driving, none on a track. Going down the road feels good and turning seems just fine.
