Anyone running a RMP cable on a 69?

Considering my options to actuate the clutch on the mach when I chunk the T5 in it.

I like the Hydraulic option but not sure I want to screw with reinforcing the firewall.

The RMP cable setup does not affect the firewall, but I'm not sure the 67-68 cable will work.
I have this cable setup that was given to me so it would be a nice savings if I can make it work.

Rollerized Z-bar is also an option but I have none of the parts.

If you go with the Modern Driveline hydraulic master cylinder with their special bellcrank/lever system, the plate that the end of the bellcrank mounts to reinforces the firewall. That is the system I'm planning on going with on my T56 conversion. It also gives the correct leverage using the stock dimple location on the firewall. Raising the location of the master will give better leverage but the brake booster gets in the way (assuming you have one). I think he wants $225 for the kit as shown in this link:

Other than the typical cable/header interference issues, I see no reason why the kit you have in-hand can't be made to work.

The RMP system was part of the kit that I bought with my T56 and I like it because it doesn't come out over the booster, but rather out through the original clutch rod hole in the firewall.
It may be a few weeks before I install it, but I have high hopes for it.

That system of Buenings is super-sexy!
Unfortunately I've got almost no room in the engine compartment due to the booster, proportioning valve, distribution block, etc.
The 05+ cars have a hydraulic system under the dash.
I'm going to investigate that further before commiting to the RMP cable.

That kit is made for cars with the factory booster and prop valve. My 70 has all of that. I haven't bought the kit yet, but it's my next victim :$$$
