Just bought a 2021 Explorer. Why the long wait? Rhetorical question. Guess they had to pull the engine out to detail it. After we made the deal another 2 hours to sign paperwork. View inside the dealership and the new Exploder.
Wife had an Edge Titanium, but the daughter‘a now ex boyfriend (happy dance from me), put her fiesta into a tree. So we sold her the Edge. Reduced price with contingencies. She cannot resale and make a profit.

Of this year ,2021, dealers can't sell any V8's anymore cause leglislation.
Same in the states?

GM has its LS based engines that aren't going anywhere yet but Ford is nearing tossing in the towel with big engines and gas entirely will follow. All it's new tech is small displacement turbo stuff and the all electric is coming fast. They backed RIVIAN and that basic tech platform will find its way into the F150 soon enough. Mustang will be only electric before we know it.

End of the glorious reign of the combustion engine automobile.

Studies show there will be gas autos through 2065. I think we’re good. So sell those old beaters before then

I really like the look of the twin tip, that is until I looked closer...

Ford just came out with a 7.3 gas engine in the F250. Gas isn’t dead yet!

I will say the 3.5 twin turbo in my 2020 f150 is a very decent engine. No complaints at all except I might have liked the 3.5 Hybrid that just came out in the 2021 f150.

I was speaking in terms of new production. These next few years will really be telling just how fast the brakes get hit. I expect to see legislation both nationally and by the states to start imposing fines by taxation on new gas vehicle sales at some point as opposed to incenting electric purchases if manufacturers don't move away from fossil fuel based cars quick enough.

Whatever. Can't wait to get my overly-rich carbureted, road draft tube sportin' flattie on the road!

Nice looking explorer. I was eyeballing the new Bronco Sport to gove to my mom. Time will tell on those.

I hope the gas engine doesn't go away. It'd be nice to see some new advancements, just another thing to drive the cost up another 10k

Those exhaust tips look like permanently-fixed cut-outs. Saves $$ on electrical switches and such. Yeah...that's it.
