Autism treatment business.

Always on vacation!
My daughter is a behavioral therapist for autistic kids. She is very good at her job. The parents, kids and employers love her to death.

She doesn't yet have her BCBS yet and wants to start her own company. We can hire a BCBS, but I am hitting a block wall with what licensing and government regulation we would have to comply with.

I am going to busy this week typing the business plan up and finding the forms to get funding from Medicaid for the families, but I think we are dead in the water without the knowledge of what licenses would be required to run such a business.

We would not treat clients in our office, it is all in home therapy. We would be hiring additional therapist as soon as we got enough clients.

I've been on the DOPL site here in Utah which is the agency that does the licensing for professional services, but can not find an occupation that this fits in.

Sounds to me like it would fall under the professional behavioral specialists licensing....providing therapy.

I would hire an attorney and let him figure it out. He should know exactly how it should be set up, well worth the cost.
