Ball Socket - JBA Shorty Headers

Is the ball end used on JBA shorty headers a standard end which a muffler shop could reproduce a female form?

I purchased a set of JBA shortys over a year ago and they did not come with starter tubes as advertised. Upon calling JBA they said that they discontinued including starter tubes since they now sell h-pipes, but I could buy a pair from Summit etc for $40 a pair, that seems like a lot of money for 12" of tube and two flanges.

Thanks,

Dan

Yes, I have a set of short starter tubes a local shop made up for me sitting in my garage. I can snap a picture tonight if your interested.

I recently bought a set of JBA headers, and they did not come with the collectors. I trailered the car down to the muffler shop, and they had the correct cone to mate up with the header. IIRC, it's a standard type of firecone that they use.

Yes. Standard size and ANY muffler shop had better be able to supply/make the collectors or they aren't a very good shop IMO.
