As of 12pm Eastern Time, Friday February 18th, Barry Grant Fuel Systems has ceased operations. The economic downturn was cited as the reason for the closure. As we get more information, we'll make sure you have it here at BangShift.com. Until then, we wish the entire staff at Barry Grant the best, and hope that they land on their feet.

Barry Grant's line of Demon Carburetors, fuel system components, and parts have been a part of the racing and hot rodding community for years, and this news will surely rock the industry. Will they regroup? Will someone buy them out? Only time will tell.

It appears BG filed for Chapter 11 back in 2009. I remember Barry from my racing days back in the early 80's when he was modifying Holley carbs. Had a lot of great ideas and turned them into a thriving business. Sorry to see it go.

I really like my 625 Jr. and was looking forward to affording one of their new TripleD 3X2 setups with intake. Hope someone buys the co. and continues production, hate to see another icon disappear. Next thing you know no one will be making new carbs anymore....
