The famous Beach Bend Dragstrip is underwater! That first pic is the bridge to walk over the staging area behind the tower...

Holy shite :ep :ep :ep :ep That is just horrible, I wish only good thoughts your way.

We are seeing a lot of stories about the flooding. This track is my favorite place. We camp there and attend so many events. I hope they recover.
Here is another picture of a buddies 03 Cobra in his garage. He lives in Clarksville.

WOW Craig, you're right good thing I didn't do my normal Dutch head thing and go anyway. Looks like a place to watch submarine races now :amaz

You were right though, I see the covers over the stands, at least we wouldn't have gotten any rain on us...

Won't the tour be stopping somewhere in Bowling Green? is that site still OK?

Craig, if you know anyone who needs a generator I have one in my shed, only used for a couple months after Katrina...let me know.
Jon

thanks Jon, I think everyone has got power (that I know anyway).
Yeah, Beach Bend was gonna be open all day for the Power Tour guys to race. The official meeting place is at the airport in BG and it's high enough it stayed dry. Beach Bend is right on the Green River so it is low land. Lot of water still in some places. I just got home from Seattle and the smell is horrible in Nashville. I drove past Opry Mills and the Opry Land Hotel, it was eerie and dark.

yeah, after the sun goes down & the dew sets, the air has that "wet mud" smell. not bad while the sun is out during the day, but VERY noticeable at night. not sure about downtown. bet it smells day & night ...
