Looks like the lazy turd is too busy to ask so I will wipe his butt for him. He mentioned to me that he noticed black suit or smoke on the wall behind his mustang and was wondering WTF. I believe it is a fuel/air mixture issue of too much gas? If anyone can shed some light on Mr. Myrtle Beach, he "might" show some gratitude. "might".

Both my cars do that. My eyes water when both cas run, so I would tend to guess you are right. The 65 didn't start to do it until the Edlebrock carb was installed. It does run seat of the pants harder with the Edlebrock.

The condensation in the exhaust picked up some soot and was blown out at startup. I would consider this normal unless the car runs ill or blows excessive smoke once warmed up. Plus a cold engine requires a rich mixture to run, hence the choke. If the wall wasn't there, he never would have noticed.

I had a TR6 that would leave a black "spot" on the garage door if you started it too close... Ran good though
