BEHOLD!!! The engine is assembled!

I finally got most of the engine put together this week. All thats really left is the flywheel/clutch and the t5z transmission.

I just need to bleed the brakes, put on the front wheels and she goes in!

I've been working with Bob Kurgan of Kurgan Motorsports out of GA to help tune the computer. He's estimating about 340rwhp with a fairly conservative tune.

Here are the specs:

331 Stroker
Roller block
Scat 9000 crank
Scat 4340 forged I beam rods
Probe SRS flat top pistons, running a little over 10:1 CR
Trick Flow FAC 170 heads 2.02/1.6
Trick Flow 1.6 roller rocker arms
Trick Flow stage 2 cam: Duration @ 050 lift: 224 int./232 exh. Lift with factory rockers: 0.542 int./0.563 exh. Lobe separation: 112
Melling oil pump
Canton 9qt road racing oil pan
Holley Systemax II intake
30 lbs injectors
75mm Accufab throttle body
90mm MAF
JBA stainless shorty headers

340 horse? sounds like sandbagging i bet you'll be in the 400 range- Looks Awesome!! :thu

Well the first shot will be a mail order tune just to get the car on the road. I'll need to take a trip down to Georgia for a dyno-tune.

I honestly would be happy with 350rwhp. I'm going to be traction-challenged with that much.

Z,

Thanks!

It's a Professional Products balancer:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PFS-80006/

I bought it from fordstrokeres.com along with the stroker kit and short block. They balanced the entire assembly for me.

I'm using the SCT chip to tune my ECU. I'll have to admit that I'm taking the easy way out with the tuning piece. I'm doing nearly all with work on this rig myself, but at this point I just want to get this thing on the road. I don't really feel like taking another month to figure out how to tune with tweecer or quarterhorse when I can get Kurgan to mail me a tune and get it 90% right the first time for the same cost.

I figure if I want to go that route in the future, it's easy enough.

That's beautiful. What kind of balancer is that? Are you running EEC IV, tweecer, moates?
