I hope all of our colleagues along the Beast Coast are well prepared and hunkered down for a really bad storm. Good luck, and stay in touch!

That means you too, DodgeStang!

This seems like a late storm for you as our storm season is about to start.
Take care and be safe.

They are calling for some nasty weather here. We got some flurries so far but it's too warm (45) for anything to stick.

I was just watching the weather guy on tv , he said this is one they will be talking about for weeks to come___I hope they are wrong!

Yeah. Pulled the Generator out of the archives, hasn't been used in 7 years, still had gas in it. Pulled the cord 7-10 times and it fired right up. :shrug

Just heard on the news New York City public transportation will stop running at 7PM tonight until further notice..this is looking like a monster storm..I am glad I moved from Connecticut we were only 1/4 mile from the water and just 6 feet above sea level. I hope everyone stays safe.

I called a friend this morning who's lives in Erma,NJ. It's like 7 miles outside of Wildwood,NJ at the Jersey Shore. As of 11am they haven't been evacuated yet. They took a ride out to the bay this morning and said the Delaware bay was starting to kick up about 7am when they were there. They were told though to expect to be without power. He picked up a generator last year after Irene and got it out yesterday just in case. I lived in Philly for 31 years and don't remember one being this bad down at the shore.

Nothing here but cold rain. I did see a couple of Seagulls fly over, they were heading due West and I figure they will hit the coast in about a week.

New York City is pretty much shut down. It's strange how quiet it is on the streets. NY harbor has had 2-3 foot whitecaps since early this afternoon. I'm hoping it's not going to be as bad as predicted. Everyone stay safe out there.

I've got friends all along the Jersey shore in Point Pleasant, Lavalette and Midway Beach. They have all already evacuated. I sure hope their homes are there when they get back!
