Big Kudos to Site Administrators/Moderators!

Ponyman66

Yak, yak, yak
Today I logged on to get a quick update. I discovered the site being down and the page in memory of John. This ladies and gentlemen was true class!

:10

I didn't know John that well, but like many I've been around long enough to have enjoyed the knowledge, experience and humor he shared with all of us. Personally, I think John would have thought it was also a class thing to do, just not for him. That's because that's the kind of guy he was! Well John, WTF! It was done for you!!!

While I couldn't attend services on the left coast, or cruise for John, I DID work on one of my cars. I had hesitated on working on the car after a miserable day yesterday. Just as I got the EFI motor and tranny over the radiator support to finally get the initial fitting in the car, the skies opened up! John playing a joke and laughing his a$$ off over me getting soaked? Maybe so! WTF John?! After seeing the page today I told myself, no matter what I'm going out and working on the car. John, in memory of you the 5.0 and tranny are now nestled into their new home (albeit a temporary one for now). Rest in peace.

Re: Big Kudos to Site Operators/Moderators!

Hey John, long time no hear from! I expect we'll see you at MBBIII?

The tribute to John that took place was not so much a direct result of the admin staff, but more of a cumulative decision from the members. We're all going to miss him.

Re: Big Kudos to Site Operators/Moderators!

Thanks for the correction Dave. I still give a big thumbs up for all involved in that idea. A truly wonderful thing!

MBBIII? Absolutely!!! Wouldn't miss it! I (still) won't have a car going, but today's progress has given a me a big shot in the arm. There were some days of lack of motivation that slowed progress. Then I had some equipment problems (shop compressor), that also slowed things. All that is now taken care of and it's now full steam ahead again! Parts and pieces have also been steadily rolling in for it to allow even more progress (including all my new suspension pieces which just arrived today!). I'll have enough done to be able to show progress to everyone in the next week or so. I'll post some pics for everyone. Since Brian is the only member that's actually seen the "before", I think he'll even be a little surprised! I've been around here, mostly lurking though.

See ya at the beach!

I concur with the kudos. I took a screen capture and saved it to a ppt and emailed it to my wife. She cried. If anybody missed what we are talking about, email me and I'll send you the screen shot.

It was really cool that we did that, and I did work on my car yesterday.

Why not make that page accessable by clicking on the header pic of John and Scary?
