Big Spindles + 1/2" Outer Tie Rod Ends

i have the big spindle kit from Cobra Auto. i finally found out today that it requires 1/2" outer tie rod ends... as i have the original 3/8" versions. i was thinking of getting the Baer bump steer kit. is that a good idea? i don't know if i have bump steer problems. if i just get 1/2" outer tie rod ends, i don't need the inner tie rod ends... correct (no change there)??

also, what are these spindles from... 70-73 Mustangs?

Mustang Steve offers bushings for this application. That said, I have the exact same spindles and bought the Baer tracker kit.

Those are one of the scariest things I've seen. Especially the 6 cylinder to 8 cylinder sleeve. Ford beefed up the outer tie rods due to the increased weight of the motor and in later years, weight of the cars. Just simply shimming the pin so it fits in the hole does nothing to strengthen the pin, ball and casting.

The correct outer tie rods are a lot cheaper than snapping a tie rod on the highway.
