Braided front brake lines

After seeing the brake line failure video (Here) in This thread, I decided to get new front caliper lines. I've had the old ones on for 5 years.

I called Shaun up (Street or Track) and we talked about which ones would fit. He sent them out Monday and I just finished installing them. They were exactly the right ones and fit perfect :pep

After bleeding the lines I noticed that the pedal was a little higher and firmer, seems that the old lines were starting to wear and expand. Looks like I have some new "consumables" to add to my list. We'll see how it all holds together at the track next Wed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Shaun is da MAN!!

You know that you are scaring us with that video.

Hopefully the weather is good next Wednesday and I will bring the PJ to the track.

I figured that I would sit through the novice driver speach (if they will let me) even though I am not going to drive that day.

What time do they usually do that?

In regards to your brake lines, do both front and rear brakes fail when a front line fails like that?

I thought that a dual bowl master cylinder prevents that.

I guess the rear brakes probably don't help much if you go in to a corner deep and then have no front brakes.

My old gear-head neighbor says the rubber lines are more durable than the braided steel lines, which have a plastic inner end piece. I not sure if this is true or not...

Sweet!

It starts at 4pm and yes, you can sit in on the speech.

I don't want to find out.

Not at those speeds!

I bugged him about getting up a kit for the Granada brake guys and he did it. I love the firmer pedal on my 66. He did a great job on the lines and they are a quality piece with the adapters for any situation so we don't have to go searching for parts or pieces, makes it so easy. :vic
