Brake install issues CSRP - questions

So School me on Mustang brakes please. ;)

I installed the CSRP kit today, but have some issues. It's his SAWP.1 kit

All the major stuff went in fine, and Iam able to bleed at all 4 wheels, but Iam not getting any braking, and I think because I went off his instructions a litte with my line lock, I may of done something wrong??

One thing I found out when I called him is that I might have a built in residual pressure valed in my MC, he was right, so I removed it. I think I should also reverse the large, and small reservoir, and use the large for the front discs. But I should still get some breaking? Here is my set up:

1. Small reservoir of MC > line lock > T-Fitting> front brakes > (line lock not wired yet)
2. Big reservoir of MC > Adjustable Proportioning Valve > residual pressure valve. > T-Fitting to rear brakes
3. Bench Bleed the MC works fine.
4. Removed OEM Brass Distributions block, and use my own T - fitting on front and rear.

Hummm? :shrug

Got a line lock in both of my cars with the Granada brakes. Did 'em both this way.

Back bowl ( large bowl )

To line lock - to a T and to front brakes

Front bowl ( small bowl )

To adjustable prop. valve and to rear brakes ( no T ) goes to the rear end and then to the shoes.

FYI - A real hot rod has to have a line lock :thu got to be able to burn the tires down at anytime.

Let alone it impresses the heck out of my 5 year old :steer

Sounds like Iam doing it right, except for the rear and front - being to the wrong bowl. I wonder why it would make such a hugh difference?

The different size bowls is mainly for how much fluid is moved when the pedal is pushed based on the size of the lines and cylinders. It also may make a slight difference as to the application speed at the wheel if reversed........just some thoughts.

Is your pedal spongy, or just no braking available at any wheel?

Try hooking everything up but leave the linelock out of the loop so you can better isolate where the problem may lay.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

So I swapped the lines to the MC this am (front/back), bleed again - AND NOW I GOT BRAKES! :wtf

This is good!!, but it just make me curious of why having the large vs smaller bowl make such a huge difference. Maybe if I took the MC appart I would see some difference in how the rod pushed the fluid to those bowls. Any way, Iam happy - because now we can drive it across the parking lot to the spray booth for some paint touch up! :yah

Large bowl is front, small is rear.
The rear have self adjusters to keep clearence to drum at min.
The front disc does not, as the pads wear they move outward as do the cups.
Without the extra fluid from the master, they would run out and fail to work.
