brake line routing

can someone help me and describe the path the rear brake line takes from the master cylinder to the rear end on a 65? pictures would be great too!

thanks

Ken

Not saying that this is concours correct but it's what I did.

MC to prop valve, to firewall, between booster and steering column rounding the tunnel corner, joining fuel line traveling along left side of tunnels held by clips. end of hard line connects to welded bracket on left side towards the back. Location of this bracket will differ by 5-6 inches, if 6 cyl vs 8.

Once you click on the following, click on it's "next" button to see a couple more

What he said. Hard line travels the tunnel to a bracket mounted to the floor near the rear. Then it soft lines to the rear end.

Thanks! That was the path I was planning on taking, just wanted to make sure. I think I can run the EFI supply and return lines all in one group.

And if you have a head on collision you will impale yourself with the steering column...and a hit in the rear will cause your car to explode.

I would keep the fuel and brake lines away from the tunnel. If you have a drive shaft failure then not only will you loose your rear brakes, but also your fuel lines may be ripped loose sending fuel everywhere.

While I appreciate the thought, I do have the drive shaft caged. The sub-frame connectors and stiffeners that I am using make it very difficult to run between the frame rails, which leaves me outside the frame rails...risk of getting ripped off there. Plus I can not easily pass under the frame due to the car being pretty low. The tunnel will have to work.

Yeah, your right, no need to sweat the little things. Let me go back and erase my thought.
