I'm in Fort Lauderdale this morning and am about to board the Noordam for a 10-day cruise in the southern Caribbean (yeah, I know, life's rough). I'll try and check in occasionally but Internet access is expensive and extremely slow. See you later!

Damn it must be good to be you. :thu Have a great time Laurie.

Well I'm jealous. Wish I was going on a cruise instead of freezing my butt off up here.

Have fun!

Have fun. Holland america is a first class cruise line. I have been on a couple of their ships and had a blast. They have some of the best entertainment I have seen. Enjoy!

So far, no Spam, but we did have lobster and filet mignon tonight and I sucked up several glasses of champagne at a private party this afternoon. Now I'm off to a 50s and 60s dance party. Time to break out the moves! :pbj :pbj :pbj :pbj :pbj

It looked more like a dance for people in their 60s to 80s, but they did pretty good.

Got back last night and had a terrific time! Lots of diving, drinking, and dancing. :pbj

I'm back and am still trying to unpack. I hate doing that. Had to play with some of my pictures and here are three of my favorites. The corals are from St. Lucia, which is beautiful underwater, and the third is from inside a wreck in Barbados.

These pictures are some reminisint of some my hallucinations from the 60's. Of course I was not under water at the time :yah

And how do you know you were not under water....

Looks like a good time Laurie.

Those steps in the 3rd picture looks just like the steps in the converted chicken coop I lived in back when I was going to Humboldt State. That beautiful crustyness and all.

Except these are in an old tugboat in about 35 feet of water. I've always loved the look of old staircases, especially spiral ones.

The really cool wreck I dove was in St. Thomas. It was an old freighter at a depth of 96 feet. We swam the length of the interior--300 feet within the wreck. Just as we went inside a 6-foot-long barracuda was checking us out.

That wasn't me! I was in Florida, I swear! Pete can vouch for my alibi...
